OUR PRIORITIES

By prioritizing some of the most urgent health challenges facing our city, we are addressing the root causes of health inequities. Michael Reese remains committed, as always, to honoring our Jewish legacy.

We prevent and address the impact of domestic violence by supporting both survivors and those who cause harm to break the cycle of violence.

We strive to integrate community health workers permanently into the health workforce, leveraging their trusted expertise and lived experiences to enhance the health and well-being of Chicagoland communities.

We work to end homelessness in Chicago by advocating for stronger, more coordinated systems that provide stable housing.

We build the capacity of our city’s strong network of Jewish-led health providers, advocates and services so their resources are more easily within reach to all Chicagoans who need them.

The tools we use to create change

Our tools are designed to advance our priority areas. Whether used individually or in some combination, our tools allow us to go deeper within an issue to create real, lasting change.

Advocacy

Through advocacy, Michael Reese pushes for lasting change by advancing policies and systems that improve health.

grantmaking

Our grantmaking tool accelerates and strengthens solutions to improve the health of Chicagoans most affected by systemic inequities.

incubation

Incubation allows us to take risks on new, experimental or proven ideas that hold promise to change the future of health.
