About the Award
The John F. Benjamin Service Award is awarded annually in memory of John F. Benjamin who dedicated six decades of service as a devoted Board member of both Michael Reese Hospital and Michael Reese Health Trust where he served as Chairman from 1998-2006. The award is meant to honor a person who exemplifies John’s philanthropic character, his generosity towards others, his intelligent approach to problem-solving and his lifetime desire to make the world a healthier and more humane place.
