At Michael Reese, we believe in the power of innovation. As a public Foundation, we are proud to act as fiscal sponsors to several incubation efforts in the city of Chicago. Supporting these efforts with our time, expertise and financial backing provides the opportunity to innovate and succeed at a more rapid pace, changing the landscape of health in Chicago for generations to come.
As a public foundation, we can focus on transforming the root causes of issues to better support systemic changes in healthcare. Learn about our advocacy priorities.
Chicago Funders Together to End Homelessness (CFTEH)
As the local chapter of the national Funders Together to End Homelessness, CFTEH aims to increase the visibility of issues related to homelessness, to address underlying systemic issues like racism and economic inequality, to coordinate resources and unlock new sources of funding and to cultivate more effective public/private partnerships. Health First Fund (HFF)
The Health First Fund (HFF) was created in response to the twin pandemics of systemic racism and COVID-19. HFF supports demonstration pilots that can be replicated and/or scaled to ensure health, eliminate health disparities and improve health outcomes in the Black, Latinx and uninsured communities.
