Michael Reese Grants Additional Funds To Reproductive Access

In June, the United States Supreme Court issued a decision on the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that changed the course of history, severely restricting access to reproductive health care for millions of people across the country.

When the decision was announced, Michael Reese Health Trust responded with swift action and committed an immediate grant to Chicago Abortion Fund to support reproductive care and access in Illinois. We began thoughtful discussions about how our work in Illinois can ensure protection of reproductive rights and equitable access for all.

Now, we are following up with two additional grants of $75,000 each to organizations leading the way in Chicagoland to deliver safe, comprehensive access to reproductive health care: Chicago Abortion Fund and Midwest Access Project.

Soon, Americans will vote in the mid-term election. From the Illinois Supreme Court to the governor’s race, abortion rights are on the ballot in Illinois. Your vote on this and many other issues matters. Click here to find your polling place. Let your vote be your voice on November 8.
